Siraf Refinery

Siraf Refinery
Subsidiary Company Siraf Green Star
Estimated Project Cost 750 Million USD

Project Description

Siraf Green Star Refinery Company plans to construct a 120,000-barrel-per-day gas condensate refinery. The project's key advantages include: (a) long-term availability of gas condensate feedstock, (b) a 5% discount on feedstock prices under a long-term agreement with the Ministry of Oil, (c) access to a port for equipment imports and product exports, (d) availability of seawater for the refinery’s cooling system, (e) proximity to the power grid, (f) access to natural gas pipelines and other required utilities, and (g) exemption from corporate income tax for 10 years and value-added tax (VAT).

It is worth noting that the Siraf Refinery Complex has been designated by the Ministry of Oil as one of the country's priority projects and enjoys full governmental support. In addition, the process of obtaining the project's petro-refinery (integrated refinery and petrochemical) license is currently underway.
